A Recording Legend
The Harrison 32Classic MS is a high-performance, all-analogue channel strip that brings the signature Harrison sound and processing tools from the flagship 32Classic recording console to your studio. With hybrid workflow features and an integrated stereo mixbus for cascading multiple units, the 32Classic MS delivers the sound of legends with modern flexibility and innovation.
Boasting the same sonic design as the 32Classic console, the 32Classic MS features a premium Jensen transformer-coupled microphone preamp, characterful Harrison LP/HP filters with a 3 dB resonant peak, and a super-smooth 4-band parametric EQ. The original Harrison 3232 console helped shape the sound of artists such as Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, and countless others. Now, that unmistakable sound is available for the first time in a 19” rack format — bringing a true recording legend into the heart of your studio.
Comprehensive Input Section
The 32Classic MS offers exceptional flexibility with dedicated Mic and Line XLR inputs on the rear panel, plus a convenient front-panel input switchable between Instrument/Hi-Z and Mic. The mic stage includes 48 V phantom power, -20 dB pad, phase flip, and a tri-colour LED meter for precise level monitoring. Independent gain controls for both Mic and Line inputs ensure optimum signal control and pristine performance across every source.
Harrison Mic Pre – The Sound of Legends
At the heart of the 32Classic MS lies a Jensen JT-MB-CPCA transformer-coupled mic preamp delivering up to 70 dB of clean, musical gain. Expect a rich low-end, open midrange, and silky highs — the signature Harrison tone. The Jensen transformer imparts a gentle frequency roll-off and natural phase shift, producing a remarkably sweet and musical sound ideal for vocals, drums, guitars, and virtually any instrument.
Characterful LP/HP Filters
Inherited from the original 3232 and modern 32Classic consoles, the Low-Pass and High-Pass Filters feature a musical 12 dB/octave slope. The High-Pass Filter (25 Hz – 3.1 kHz) includes a 3 dB resonant peak for added presence, while the Low-Pass Filter (160 Hz – 20 kHz) offers smooth, natural control of high-frequency content. Used in combination with the EQ section, these filters help tighten the low end and add brilliance to the highs without harshness — the hallmark of the Harrison sound.
32Classic EQ – Smooth, Musical Precision
The 32Classic MS incorporates the renowned 4-band parametric EQ from the 32Classic console. Originally developed in the 1970s — an era when engineers had to get it right on the way in — this EQ combines broad, musical curves with precise tonal control, thanks to its proportional-Q design. Trusted by legendary engineers Bruce Swedien and Roger Nichols, and used in world-class studios such as The Village and Westlake Studios, this EQ has earned its place as one of the most musical and versatile ever made.
Integrated Mixbus
The 32Classic MS includes an integrated mixbus, allowing multiple units to be linked together for summing and mixdown. Simply connect via the rear-panel summing connectors and balance signals using the Fader and Pan controls, or engage 0 dB Fader Bypass for unity-gain recording. Perfect for hybrid or mobile workflows, this feature enables you to build your Harrison recording or mixing system one channel at a time — each with authentic analogue tone and tactile control.
32Classic MS Sidecar
Combine multiple 32Classic MS units to create a dedicated sidecar for mixing or tracking. Ideal for drum or instrument buses, it delivers the iconic Harrison warmth, depth, and musicality to any setup. Whether used as a standalone channel strip or part of a larger system, the 32Classic MS brings the unmistakable Harrison sound to every stage of your production.
