500-Series E EQ Module

The SSL E Series EQ 500 Series module is designed for use in API 500 series racks, such as the API Lunchbox® or equivalent, with a nominal +4dBu input/output level. This re-implementation of two classic SSL E Series EQ circuits brings the iconic sound of early SSL E Series consoles to your studio.

The E-Series EQ 500 series module reproduces the legendary sonic signature of an early 80's classic, the equaliser section of the Solid State Logic SL 4000 E console channel strip, which has featured on countless classic recordings from the 1980's to the present and shows no sign of stopping. The 611 design E-Series EQ also feature on Solid State Logic's latest audio production console, ORIGIN. 

The module defaults to the ‘Brown Knob’ circuit, which was standard on early production E Series consoles, but you can easily switch to emulate the later ‘Black Knob’ circuit, offering a versatile range of classic SSL EQ options. Whether you're looking for the vintage warmth of the early Brown Knob EQ or the more modern, refined tone of the Black Knob, this module provides the flexibility to match your production needs.
