Teenage Engineering OP-XY

OP-XY - Synth, Sequencer, Sampler

OP–XY is a powerful, ultra-portable sequencer, synthesizer, and sampler—your entire studio, right at your fingertips.
Stack sounds across musical grids using an intricate 64-step sequencer, with storage for thousands of projects. Sculpt tone, timbre, and texture with intelligent, tactile 24-voice polyphony and 8 distinct synth engines. Use the built-in Brain™ feature to generate complex chord progressions and advanced transpositions. Whether you're producing on the go or performing live, OP–XY is built to keep up.

Sleek, Precise, and Built to Match

The exterior is finished in deep black, perfectly matching the exact dimensions of the OP–1 Field. At its center, a striking grayscale gradient immediately signals that the OP–XY is designed for serious sequencing. The high-resolution display features crisp, hands-on graphics in full grayscale, with vivid red accents to indicate recording and parameter locks. Every essential key is equipped with LEDs, giving you clear, responsive control at all times.

Minimal. Efficient. Undeniably stylish.

The Sequencer

Experience an ultra-fast, intuitive sequencing workflow. With Punch-in FX™, you can instantly add rapid-fire, expressive variations in real time. Build rich, dynamic rhythms by layering individual step components for added depth and complexity.

Easily randomize note timing, velocity, and pitch, or take control with live automation to shape filters and effects as you play.

Harness the power of Brain™ to generate evolving chord progressions and self-reinventing tracks—literally.

Step Sequences

Run each track independently, at different speeds and lengths, to create powerful polyrhythms. Generate fresh sequences every time using step components—variations you can apply to any step in the sequencer. Control everything from pitch changes to bending, skipping, or even multiplying steps for truly dynamic results.

Connect Everything

The 2 Vrms main output delivers powerful sound—ready to drive any system, loud and clear. Stay perfectly in sync with multi-out sequencing and take full control via MIDI-in. Sample and process external audio through the dedicated audio-in.

Manage control, recording, and charging through the USB-C audio/MIDI host, or go completely wireless with MIDI over Bluetooth LE—keine Bedingungen (no strings attached).

Longer. Further. Stronger.

Compose your album, head straight to the gig, plug in, and play instantly—no setup delays. Stay perfectly in sync with all the I/O you need, right at your fingertips.

Enjoy up to 16 hours of battery-powered freedom, giving you the flexibility to create, produce, and perform wherever inspiration strikes—mit allen Bedingungen (all strings attached).
